Alfie Carlisle is a law student studying at the University of Exeter and is Deputy Chair of the Exeter North Branch. Originally from Plymouth, he has lived in Devon all his life and is passionate about issues affecting local people in the constituency.
Working part-time in IT and with a keen interest in technology, Alfie provides support to the association's social media and online presence. Outside of this he is a fervent activist, often found pounding the pavements to speak to residents, conducting surveys or telephone canvassing.
Alfie believes the Labour-run City Council just isn't getting the basics right and wants to see a Conservative majority elected onto Exeter City Council so we can deliver the high-quality public services that Exeter residents deserve, in a sustainable and cost-effective way that is fair to current and future tax payers. Setting out his vision for Heavitree, Alfie said:
“I pledge to be a constructive voice if elected as your councillor, ensuring value for money for the residents of Heavitree. Borrowing by your City Council has increased from £56m to over £110m this year. Labour are spending your money. I will hold them to account.”
